I am at the now what phase of putting things together and keeping things going. Thank you ImagineNATIVE and BC Film for the producer opportunities. Everyone was really wonderful and it was such and honor to meet so many talented filmmakers, shakers and movers and even activists. It was intimidating and only a little lonely at the beginning. Because once things started they rolled. Including the tears. . lols. Everything was leading up to the pitch sessions which I made it through. I want to thank everyone from Danielle, Cindy to Barbara Hagar for their support and guidance. It is nice to walk away and know people by their first name. Filmmakers, actors, and artists are just people working in the community doing their part. Was it worth it. . you bet!! I spent the week making contacts that I met at ImagineNATIVE and most of them were still at ImagineNATIVE. So I pulled back a little getting ready to position myself for next week. Im going to dig right in next week and get into application mode go as far as I can without a Broadcaster. Which wont be very far. .then just get one!! lols. I learned so much and cant wait to apply it all. Currently I am thinking about what style of animation would be best for GREY EYES. Which chornicals the early struggles of the BEAR CLAN. To me the story reminds me of a First Nations Harry Potter. More research needs to be done into the history so that the accuracy is absolutely correct that will add to the visuals twofold. There is some thought as to possible water color and how that may be visionary as an animation. This animation will be based of the 7 book saga novel GREY EYES created and written by the imaginative and talented writer Frank Busch. Hmmm so many possibilities!! The other project I cannot wait for it to see the light of day is DAWNE aka LITTLE RUNNER. Which is a story about a young First Natons girl who loses her history and when she goes back to the reservation to find it she discovers that she has the key to enlighten the Seventh Fire. Which is a playing out of the First Nations prophecies. With many hands WE WILL make a difference!!
