I am at work today going over the Industrial Robotics General Safety requirements for an upcoming project. This ia an excerpt from the book. Once safeguards are selected in accordance with Table 3 and installed in accordance with Clause 10, the process in Clauses 9.3 and 9.4 shall be repeated to determine if each identified hazard has been protected so that the remaining risk is tolerable. The avoidance, severity, and exposure criteria for each task and hazard combination shall be re-evaluated using Table 1. The risk reduction index shall then be determined by following Table 4. The appropriate additional safeguards to control residual risk shall be applied. If the risk reduction index is consequently an R3 or R4, the risk reduction for that task and hazard combination is complete. If the risk reduction index is not an R3 or R4, appropriate safeguards shall be installed, and this step shall be repeated. Guess Ill slap a yellow caution sticker on this machine.
