I am baffled and disheartened with the apathy of Nigerian Leaders - TopicsExpress

I am baffled and disheartened with the apathy of Nigerian Leaders towards the ongoing University Nation wide Strike… Besides, I also wonder why the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) fails to call up the existing nation wide strike. Perhaps, ASUU Officials has forgotten the characters and of course the behaviors of our exiting political Leaders in Nigeria. Apparently, whether we like it or not, the government of our country has nothing to gain or loose in the ongoing national strike, because as we all know, the sons and daughters of virtually 95% of our leaders are studying abroad with Nigeria Resources which of course belongs to every individual populace of Nigeria. Obviously, these are the resources that are supposed to take care of Education sector in Nigeria. Although, not all ASUU members are in support of the ongoing University Strike because, they felt that it is just a waist of time. But for those who are strongly in support of the Strike should be able to provide an answer to the following questions. 1. What is happening to Education at the Primary School levels? 2. What is happening to Education at the Secondary School levels? 3. What is happening to Unemployment in Nigeria? 4. What is happening to Poverty? Etc. My fellow Comrades, I therefore relate the above questions with ASUU and National Strikes in Nigeria. In trying to do that, I therefore ask the following Questions again. 1. In the history of Nigeria, has ASUU ever embarked on a National Strike in order to help promote the standards and welfares of Primary and Secondary School Teachers? 2. As ASUU ever embarked on a Nation wide Strike because Poverty has become an Epidemic phenomena in Nigeria? 3. Did ASUU ever embarked on an indefinite National Strike in order to tell Government that unemployed graduates are becoming too many in the country and that if not employed, the consequences are uncontrollable. 4. Why as ASUU not opposing the Government of Nigeria because of the challenges of security breach in Nigeria. To that extent therefore, I come to the conclusion that ASUU are to some extent being too selfish, in the sense that they are only interested in their own affairs (Nigerian Universities only). Of course, many complain has been put forward regarding the poor standard of Students whom graduates from Nigerian Universities each year. Apparently, those complains has to do with the inability of many Nigeria Universities graduates to defend their Certificates at the labour market. Why? This is because Education in Nigeria is not been well managed, that is to say, Government pay less attention or to a larger extent neglected Education sector in Nigeria. Of course, Education policies should be formulated from the grassroots to the top level, not from the top level to the grassroots levels. Besides, the consequences of formulating policies from top level to down levels is that Nigerian Universities will never admits or even graduates well knowledgeable and qualified students. Perhaps, ASUU should call up the indefinite Strike of Nigerian Universities. Have petty on the Sons and Daughters of the masses in Nigeria. Of course, they are the looser… obviously, many of them are perfectly engaged in all sought of mischievous activities such as Armed Robbery and Prostitution amongst other mischievous acts. My fellow Comrades, is this a good business for the future of Nigerian Youths? Is this how our Government and ASUU will allow our Youths to ruin there lives? Where are our Religious Leaders? What are they doing about the Strike? Where are our Comrades? Where are the Bourgeoisies? What are the attitudes of our Political Elites and our concerned men and women in Nigeria? Is this how we will all allow Education to go astray in Nigeria? Did we all know that quality Education is the back born of a country’s development? O my God… Please Government and ASUU, kindly end the existing Strike, accept the little funds that Government promise to give to Nigerian Universities Finally, I therefore call upon all ASUU members, our Comrades, Spiritual Leaders, Men and Women of integrity. We should all accept the fact that our present Leaders has no faith on the Masses and that they are not ready to give any meaningful supports to the Epidemic social problems of Nigerians. We should all come together in order to push them aside and of course bring in a favorable and faithful Leaders whom will of course head the throne of power in our great country Nigeria.
