I am beginning a study on the Book of Revelation. I want to share - TopicsExpress

I am beginning a study on the Book of Revelation. I want to share it with my friends on facebook. I will do this, hopefully and prayerfully, on a daily basis, as long as my health permits. I invite all my friends to join me, if interested. Revelation is the only book in the Holy Bible that promises a blessing to those who read it, a detail Gods servant John repeats at both its beginning and end (Revelation 22:6,7). John clarifies that his purpose for writing the book is blessing. A person can be blessed just by reading Revelation...or cursed for tampering with it. Beware of the so-called preachers who tamper with Gods Holy Word. The greatest blessing comes when a person obeys the book of Revelation. The road to true success, is found in submitting ones life to Gods Word (Luke 11:28). My hearts desire is for all my family and friends to be blessed. My utmost least desire is to shine. I love the quote less of me...more of Him. I am just an humble servant of God, with no special talents, knowledge, or abilities. I just want to serve God with all thats in me. All Praise and Glory goes to our Almighty God, and Him only. I want each of you to know that I love you, whether I have met you or not, and I wish Gods blessings on you and your family. Revelation 1:1-3- vs. 1 - The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants---things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, (vs. 2) - who bore witness to the Word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. (vs. 3) - Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. (Footnote: (vs. 1) - Revelation is the translation of the Greek word apokalupsis, it means to reveal, to disclose, to uncover. This is not a puzzle or an enigma, but a book that seeks to make manifest Jesus Christ. The phrase must shortly take place describes an event that will occur suddenly, not necessarily one that may occur soon. (vs. 2) - This book is written in not just in words but also in pictures (things that he saw). The message is communicated in symbols and images. (vs. 3) - John clarifies that his purpose for writing the book is blessing. Revelation is the only book in the Holy Bible that promises a blessing to those who read it, a detail John repeats at both its beginning and end (22:6,7). A person can be blessed just by reading Revelation or cursed for tampering with it. But the greatest blessing comes when a person obeys it. The road to true success, according to Revelation, is found in submitting ones life to Gods Word (Luke 11:28). (Footnotes from Pastor David Jeremiahs Study Bible)
