I am committed to keeping my district and my constituents safe from wildfires. I was pleased to read this article today that asks for the federal government to set aside $615M to provide emergency assistance and prevention for wildfire prone areas. The federal government needs to recognize wildfires as a natural disaster, and while we wait for the outcome of this proposal, I will always do my best to ensure that Coloradoans are protected from wildfires and receive the care they need in case of this natural disaster. #KeepCOSafe coloradoan/story/news/local/2014/07/08/obama-immigration-request-m-fight-wildfires/12379135/
