I am considering doing a "once a month" freezer meal swap with some local Facebook friends here. I will head it all up..making 1 specific catagory per month (like main dishes, soups, veggies, desserts, breakfast, baked goods, etc) at least until we see how this goes. There will be rules as well to play by, such as: You must live close enough to meet once a month for the exchange, you must be willing to commit once you sign up, there will be 5 to a group so when you sign up you must make 5 meals (one for you and 4 others). This will be held just like how a cookie exchange works...except we will exchanging prepared and frozen meals. Each packet will be made to feed a family of 4-6 and each meal be around $5-8 to make. I wanna see if there is any interest in this before I make a facebook page for this? If you are thinking about this...you can find tons of recipes on line as well as Pinterest or purchase books on this subject. For a few hours once a month..you can start filling up your freezer and save time cooking..by just throwing these in the oven or crockpot! Any one interested?!
