I am crucified with Christ. Nevertheless I live. Yet not I, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the flesh, I live according to the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 This is the essence of the journey. Now I could select any number of scriptures to call the essence of the journey; any number. Each one would be just as correct as this one in summarizing the Christian life, or the basic pillar of it. I can’t just lay the rest of the Bible aside. There is so much to feed the soul and increase spiritual growth. Press on; press on! The highs and the lows are pointed out and outline throughout the scriptures. Be in the know about the low, but get a rise from the highs. There is purpose in every verse of scripture. We must learn to “rightly” divide the Word. There is profitable doctrine, correction, reproof, and instruction in righteousness; inspired by God. Indulge. I wish I could say that I’m done with depression; but I’m not. I wish I could say that I’m done with anxiety; but I’m not. I must; I do, press on! There’s really no other way.
