I am curious about the quarantine procedures used by experienced rainbowfish keepers and breeders. How long do you QT fish from local fish stores? Do you treat them preventatively, or just observe and treat if you notice symptoms? I have 5 panda cories that I want to add to my 36 bowfront- it is a new setup that has 6 Kamakas and 6 Neon Dwarf Rainbowfish in it from a very good breeder. I dont want to risk introducing anything harmful to this tank. I have had the cories in QT for 5 days now, and they appear to be healthy, and active. I cannot see any signs of illness.
