I am currently going to school for social work, however, since having my son last year I have found a passion in birth and breastfeeding. I would love to pursue a carrier as a doula. I am having trouble convincing my SO that this is the right path for me. He does support me wanting to become a doula but thinks that I should finish my 4 year degree before I pursue becoming a doula. I am looking for suggestions on how to help him see that a 4 year degree isnt necessarily better and also looking for the best doula programs ( I am located in the midwest).
