I am desperately trying to get on with some work, but Facebook is pulling me. I am working on a film about a woman who survived Auschwitz as a young girl, and I must admit it is heavy stuff indeed and needing a break as it has really choked me up. An honour to work on this (for the Welsh Government no less!) and her story is incredible and equally horrifying and hopeful. Jeez how was that all possible? What the hell drove humans to treat other humans like that? Its almost abstract to us in 2014, which is why its so important to remember, face it, and carry it forward. Truly one of the darkest moments of modern human history, but equally grateful to be part of keeping the memory alive. Not sorry or ashamed to say that this has brought an awful lot of tears to my eyes, and very honoured to be writing the music to accompany this incredible film.
