I am excited to announce that two friends and myself have launched a new business. Tre-fin foods located in Ilwaco Wa. We will be providing the Pacific Northwest and overseas customers with fresh Albacore Tuna. Our fish will be less than 48 hour from sea to store and will be the highest sashimi grade tuna you can get. We have our main markets in Seattle and Portland but we will also have weekly shipments to Central Oregon. You can get this fresh tuna at the Redmond Smoke House, in Redmond Oregon. They will be taking orders via email at redmond_smokehouse@msn. Tuna will be available there this next week so if your interested in canning tuna or having sashimi grade tuna loins for the BBQ put your order in. We are excited for the challenges a new business can bring and doing something we love for a living. We will be fishing our new boat the New Oppor-TUNA-Ty a 43 foot tuna battle wagon. We also purchased property on the port for processing and handling tuna. It has a commercial space downstairs that will include food and a bar, but at a much smaller scale than the Coyote. We have formed a co-op called the Ilwaco Tuna club, so we will be entertaining members of the club there as well. The City of Ilwaco and the Port are excited about our new business there and they have welcomed us with open arms asking us what they can do to help. Something I never received here. I will keep you posted as this business grows.
