I am exhausted, but I wanted to share my experience from today with a friend, from New Zealand....She went and was sworn in as a new United States Citizen, after living and working here for many years....The ceremony was truly wonderful and hearing these people stories of their struggles and their efforts to come to America because we are so free here and they have a chance at life. To hear their stories brings tears to your eyes and makes you so proud to be an American. These new citizens truly know how blessed we are here, some have had wars in their home countries for their entire lives...Imagine, being kicked out of a country because they say you dont speak the language .......We have the freedom to speak any language and vote for whomever we please, and live where we want....and have family and friends....I think every American should go to one of these events, watch the people take their oath of alligence and hear thier stories.....YOu will really then appreciate what we have in this country.It might just help us come together as a country and work on our issues instead of being millions of voices we would be one. God bless America.....and its 49 new citzens sworn in today in Tucson....I hope to post photos tomorrow...
