I am feeling so upset! We just went to our storage locker to get our Thanksgiving decorations and the entire area is empty - our Christmas tree, Valentines & Thanksgiving things, summer decorations and some of our Easter things are all gone! These are things weve displayed for many years, some handmade gifts etc. Thank God, most of our Christmas stuff & some Easter things are in a different area, but we used a 2nd area because the elderly lady who was assigned it didnt need it. We have used it for the past 4 1/2 years. What happened was that she was put in a nursing home and some men came and threw everything she owned in a rented dumpster. We never thought about what she had in the storage locker & never dreamed it would be assumed those things were hers. They were in big Rubbermaid containers with the contents marked but no names. We never thought we needed to mark our names on them. Now I know how people felt whose basements were flooded! I dont even know for sure everything that was there. For sure we need to replace the Christmas tree. Well have to figure the rest out when we get to each season. Its like being robbed only it was done innocently.
