I am finally back in business now that an essential component to our hats and bags is also back in production. Steam-A-Seam 2, made by The Warm Company, was off the market for the better part of a year when their paper supplier discontinued making the paper backing for their fusible webbing adhesive. I use this product to bond all the appliquéd pieces securely in place before stitching around them so you can wash and dry and generally wear the heck out of PingiHats without any fear of losing a nose or an eyeball (so embarrassing!) in the process. The substitutes I tried after running out of my stockpile of Steam-A-Seam about six months ago failed abysmally. Trust me - Pellon is NOT compatible with a happy production day in any way. Pellon will make you invent new and exotic swear words that would sear the ears of a sailor. Now that Steam-a-Seam is back in production with new and improved and now printer friendly paper backing (woo hoo!) Ill be able to ramp up production and roll out my new products. Hopefully the full site will be updated by the end of October for all your cold season hat and bag needs. And my poor production assistant cats wont run for the hills anytime I bust out the fusible webbing because they know Im about to have a serious temper tantrum.
