I am frustrated at all the posts about I didnt know what would happen by voting yes to a prop that was on the last ballot. First of all I want to thank everyone who did show up to vote or mail off their ballot. Good for you. However if you dont understand or know enough about something on the ballot just dont vote on that specific one. Its bad enough for people to not even show up and vote but to vote on something by guessing is not good either. I am a busy person. I dont thoroughly research each person, measure or prop on the ticket. There are some I am very passionate about and those I will make sure I vote for or against. I voted no on 47 because I dont believe it will be good for our community. However I am hearing from a lot if people who have told me they voted yes for 47 and now are shocked at what is happening that it passed. They didnt understand it or the ads persuaded them and were unclear. So here is my personal public service announcement. Please vote. Please pay attention to what you are voting on and if you dont know enough about a particular thing on the ballot, skip it and dont vote either way on it. Its not a test. You are allowed to leave some blanks.
