I am fuming - this is disgusting pedaling of figures pulled out of a hat! In my close family we have one member who through serious health issues attends the GP every SEVEN days under normal circumstances and even more if health conditions unexpectedly change. That makes AT LEAST 52 GP visits a year PLUS many specialised medical visits and innumerable medical tests. This person (who works full time AND struggles to pay private health insurance) does not deserve another kick in the guts and the already overstretched bank account from a greedy government. Abbott is a heartless fool. Does he not realise that many with major health issues will no longer be able to afford to go to the GP when they should, OR.... does he fully realise the implications and have the shit happens attitude for which he is famous?
