I am getting pretty good at getting stopped by #HPD while walking - TopicsExpress

I am getting pretty good at getting stopped by #HPD while walking in my own neighborhood. Twice in 10 days. This time 20 minutes to 5am. Day light was slowly peaking but not up yet. They stop and two of them get out of the car and approach me...Must be the lucky red shirt that I wear? All good. They were polite and allowed me to exercise the right to be a private citizen as I did ask. They only asked if I had my ID which I did have for once but they didnt ask to see it.I asked if they were detaining me and they said no just checking on the neighborhood. I thanked them for checking on the neighborhood. Showed them the MAPMYWALK app going on my phone. They said you probably live somewhere in the neighborhood? I said yes, obliviously. Told them to have a safe day and we parted ways. Just want everyone to know I am not anti-authority at all. I appreciate the law enforcement when used correctly. These HPD Officers though curious as to why someone (wearing a red shirt, profiling?) would be out walking in the morning before daylight and before work does puzzle me #1984... I am not a trouble maker and I just really like being left alone to enjoy KISS on Pandora and walk, Thats all. So far I have lost 8 lbs!..I hope I dont come across as being smart I just learned by accident that anything you say to a Police Officer is a statement. You may think its just chit chat or a private general conversation but its not. If they ask you anything and you answer, you just gave them a statement...A binding statement. I saw the older lady this morning again that walks everyday too and asked her again if she has ever been stopped by #HPD and she said no...hmmmm
