I am getting really burnt out from trying to fairly state the flaws in the arguments on FB amongst my friends that conflate Israel and Zionism with genocide, apartheid and a number of other egregious evils while being equally honest about my feelings of despair, anguish and frustration with the consequences of this war and some of the causes from the Israeli side. It is a Jewish mandate that when you see evil, unless you stand up for the truth, you are equally guilty of the crime. Its just that in this case, the crimes are of omission as well as commission and they span the entire gray scale, including back and white. And in the end, am I really serving any good? Opening any minds to a more fair perspective? Contributing to thinking more deeply about the issues, more broadly about the solutions or just burning myself out on a hopeless cause?
