I am glad to see 2014 come to an end...I have learned so many valuable lessons this year... 1. God has a greater plan than you do for your life. 2. For Better or Worse and in Sickness and in Health are not just words...my husband has proven that to me during my illness. 3. True love is always worth the fight. 4. Becoming friends with the food service people at the hospital gets you extra bacon every morning (learned that during the third stay this year). 5. Be careful who you listen to...just because they say everything you want to hear does not mean they are telling the truth. 6. Losing 25 lbs feels really good...gaining that 25 lbs back because you are on steroids feels really bad. 7. Sing loud in the car and dont care who is listening...I do that with one of my sweet clients and it always ends in us smiling. 8. Chemo at Central Baptist...hand massages and lunch...chemo at Brannon...snacks and heated recliners...chemo in Richmond...none of the above, but hey, cant have it all. 9. Eating an entire birthday cake is not the best choice, but it tastes good. 10. Getting a tattoo does not hurt...piercing your nose does not hurt...piercing cartilage hurts. 11. Get the wild hair color or hair cut. 12. Going to eat at a restaurant alone can be relaxing. 13. Date night is important whether you are just starting to date or have been together 20 years. 14. Every situation in life is a lesson...it might be painful, but learn from it. Goodbye 2014...looking forward to 2015!
