I am glad to see young blacks paying attention to the current events....but...ugh..how can I put this? Just a few months ago the Voting Rights Act Section 4 was struck down by Supreme Court. I feel that even though what happened to Trevon Martin was a tragedy it is something that we can not change. Only those with a "voice" can enact the type of change that will prevent this from happening again. But, have you notice that that they are trying to take your voice away?! Why are we not protesting that? If you want to talk about injustice then talk about how they are telling you that the anguish and suffering your people went through is only worth mentioning one month out of the year! That now jurisdictions will be able to enact policies which prevent minorities from voting! It is time we take the blinders off and look at what is really happening.
