I am going to apologize in advance for my rant... I just got home from a day of doctors appointments then a stop at CVS & Market Basket. As I am getting into my car a guy stops me and says I hope you dont take advantage of that handicap placard! To which I responded What are you talking about, I use this, to help me? You dont know anything about my situation. He said You look pretty healthy to me! I told him I had muscular dystrophy and not everyone with a disease is in a wheelchair or walks with a cane. (He was an elderly man) He seemed taken back and had nothing to say, so I told him he should mind his manners next time and not judge people. This was the last straw for me, it happens so many times, comments, looks...I had a guy once walk all around my car to see if placard was hanging there. Im sure he wanted to report me. This placard has been my lifesaver, I couldnt do half the errands on my own without it. I am grateful I have it. I very rarely talk about this, I dont ask for anyones help but I really wish people like this would just mind THEIR own business! Thats all folks!
