I am going to assume that some of you are going to music school next year or are going to audition this year. I have graduated the Conservatorium and thought I would start documenting what I have learnt for the next generation of people who plan to attend music school. I am a guitarist so I have made some resources for all you players out there wondering what you need to know. I put these together after I broke my hand as part of my rehab so they are slow. maybe hit mute and grab your own metronome. Practicing in this pattern will help you master this mode in every key. I struggled for years to memorise my tech work this pattern is one of the best ways to memorise and recall your modes for tech exams because not only do you learn the scale shapes you learn how they sound in every single key. Today I will Post some Ionian modes/ major scales. once you master a shape master moving it around the cycle of fifths or fourths without stopping.
