I am going to be maybe a bit controversial here - I think we need to be a bit more canny about the predictions of a labour wipeout next year. While Im fairly confident that the SNP can gain a majority of seats, I dont expect all Labours huge majorities to go. Even in areas that voted Yes. I think its a wee bit dangerous for us to be overconfident and we run the risk of appearing too cocky. Labour will recover from where they are now, hopefully not too much but they cant really go further down than they have. There could well be anti indy tactical voting to contend with. Meanwhile, where are disaffected lib dems going to go? Does anyone know? They came 3d in my constituency last time but a very close third to the SNP. For many yes supporters, Labour used to be where we put our votes. For some, voting SNP will not be the easiest thing to do. For the people on this page, we are already committed and engaged with the ideas within the indy movement so its a bit easier. For quite a lot of folk though, breaking the habit of a lifetime will be much harder. Just saying, lets not count our chickens ....
