I am going to keep this as positive as possible. Ive been reminding myself that I dont NEED to defend this but I am going to anyway after being challenged for the third time... Yes, we are fundraising for Cassidys trip to Orlando, Florida for the MAC National pageant in November and yes, there are multiple activites keeping us busy in the fundraising process. Unlike football/basketball/soccer/volleyball teams, schools from the minute your child starts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, etc, etc, etc, we have to find ways all on our own to do this for Cassidy. We are fundraising because the fees/travel expenses are many and we are only fundraising for HER expenses, mom/dad will be paying their own way.. Just as many parents fundraise for a dozen other reasons, we are doing this to support a dream/goal that Cassidy has that is very real for her and she works hard to achieve. This is a journey that grows long-lasting LIFE skills. If you spend time with her you know her level of maturity, confidence, responsibility and desire to someday be a business professional who hopefully has won a Miss Indiana title once upon a time. This was put into place after she competed in ONE local pageant. Out of 6 attempts, Cassidy has won 4 crowns, she takes every chance to improve her skils. As a parent, this is what its about, helping your child reach for their dreams and giving them every opportunity to succeed. I do not obligate anyone to participate in fundraisers for her. If you do, we are thankful you chose to invest in her, if you dont, no worries, I completely and sincerely understand!! Thank you to everyone that has encouraged her, cheered her on and helped in any way to the fundraisers! #teamcassidy
