I am going to share a little glimpse of what happens when I take - TopicsExpress

I am going to share a little glimpse of what happens when I take both kids with me in public. I am going to be real about what it is like. My stress level gets very high as it can be very stressful & I experienced that earlier today. It is not an easy task to have a special needs child to say the least. I had to take Anna to get a blood draw. I too the single stroller so Caleb was in the single stroller & Anna was doing good just being by my side, until we went into the waiting room to get her blood drawn. I was getting ready to sign in & Anna ran off heading over to the childrens area. Thankfully I had the harness with me, so I had to put that on her, which turned into a huge meltdown in the middle of the waiting room. The waring room had other people in it so I felt like all eyes were on me :(. Anna was upset because she saw the tv in the kid area where Mickey Mouse was on & she wanted to watch it. After I finally put the harness on her, I went to sign in. A few minutes later the lab tech came & got us. Once we got Into the room where they draw blood Anna was still crying as she wanted to still watch Mickey Mouse. When Anna gets blood work, it takes two techs & mama. I have to have Anna on my lap while on lab tech draws & the tiger helps me hold Anna down. I know it is very traumatic for my baby girl, however its important that she gets blood work. After it was all over I was able to calm Anna down by hugging her & kissing her. Then, when we got back out into the hallway, once again Anna started taking off. Thankfully I was able to stop her by blocking her with the stroller. Then another meltdown & she again didnt want the harness put on her. I explained to her she needs the harness for her safety & mamas as its dangerous to run off from mama. I praise The Lord as while I was trying to deal with her meltdown, crying & fighting me I the harness two sweet woman who worked there stopped & asked if I need to help. I know they were angels forum The Lord. They asked me how old Anna was & they distracted her by talking with her & the importance of not running off from mama. While, they were talking with Anna I was able to get the harness back on her. This was a huge blessing to me as I was trying to be calm for both kids. I say all this to encourage you that if you see a mom who is struggling like I was, please stop & help her. You never know how much of a blessing that can be. At first I wanted to no, I dint need help & I am glad that I didnt say no Im okay as these two ladies were a blessing. Thank you for letting me share :)
