I am grateful and blessed to belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Our entire mission is to love and serve like Christ did. Yes, the church is filled with imperfect people- it always has been, but the hearts of those who believe are some of the largest Ive Had the privelage to work with. Our leaders are not paid. Our Bishops serve for often 5 years giving hundreds of their hours to simply help. Our teachers and leaders and missionaries give because that is what Christ did. He did what he could do and that is all that is asked of us. I believe in God and in his Son and Im changed because of their impact in my life. This is who we are- imperfect people just loving, giving and serving so we can lift others up and help them feel what we do- the pure love of Christ. (from my dear friend Em; well said).
