I am happy to report that my battle with Abington Friends School for Unemployment Benefits has been deemed a success! According to the PA Department of Labor and Industry, Abington could not provide proof that my actions showed a willful disregard of the Employers interests or that [my] actions showed a disregard of the standards of behavior the Employer has the right to expect. Bottom line, they fired me without any hard evidence and therefore have to pay unemployment benefits. HOWEVER. I was only there for 6 weeks and did not have enough time in to collect anything so they made out as well. But I prevailed and am pretty happy right now!
