I am having a lot of issues with not being able to get a consistent layer of paint on flat surfaces, when using a paint brush. I water down my paints, and I have tried different consistencies. I have also tried multiple coats, which helps some, but you can see inconsistencies in paint thickness. I am wondering if you guys have any suggestions or rules of thumb that you use to help with this issue. Also, I have been really disappointed in Citadel paints. It seems that about 1 out of every 2 bottles I buy is lumpy upon opening it. Sometimes this can be fixed by mixing it, which I dont mind. However, using the whites for example, they were so lumpy that I could not salvage the paint (it was like a solidified dumpling surrounded in milk). I am wondering if you guys have experienced this as well, and if there if there is a way to fix it. I am considering switching over to Vallejo and P3, as I have some of those paints and so far they are awesome.
