I am in my feelings about this damn football, sports and Roanoke Times/TV lack of reporting. Why do you give a ###? I get sick of people acting as if sports is their black childs only option to get an education. Your son can play his ass off, and a Tim Tebow comes along not as good and beat him out every time. I love sitting and cheering my kid and everyones kid on, but I do not care if my son plays sports or not. His choice as long as his grades do not suffer. If he has the grades, he gets in college. I guarantee they cant take that away. A sports scholarship should be an extra incentive. Not your childs main/only option. It is not your childs responsibility to become famous in sports to financially support you. You gave birth to them not vice versus. Most will disagree, dont care, but my son by most opinion should be playing. He will, but before he breaks a limb and they send his uneducated ass home. I need him to break his brain with knowledge and wisdom Justin Plummer MD.( his granddad), President Obama, Martin L. King, Thurgood Marshall, Eric Holder style. If he succeeds in sports Lebron James, because he decided his destiny. Not the Cavaliers who acted like his master. Be blessed.
