I am in such disbelief. Please be careful everyone, especially business owners. My mom has a small business nail shop and someone impersonated working for Southern California Edison demanding $500 or else they will shut down the electricity in 30 min. They demanded that we needed to update our out of date meter and that if we follow the instructions, they will reimburse the $500 back. They called me from 1-866-206-7508 number and a man so called Joe Marcin demanded $500 and was very rude. I told him off and he apologized. So I called SCE which was a 1-800 number on our electricity bill. Found out that they werent going to shut down our electricity and that this was a fraud. The real SCE worker told me that they dont say that and they dont force us to pay for any meter and they dont have a 866. The impersonator also gave us the corporate office address and they have me their fake ID employee number. I told them to look up the employee ID number and they are no where to be found. Ive already spoke to the people at Southern California Edison to do something about it and called the police to report it but they said they couldnt do anything unless I actually gave the fake people the money. Please friends, please be careful and dont let this happen to you.
