I am in the midst of writing a novel and a lot of my research - TopicsExpress

I am in the midst of writing a novel and a lot of my research delves into the prophesies of the Old Testament and New Testament, their effects on the lives of a modern day fictional couple, caught in the coming to pass of the prophesies. Part of this research involves the Nephilim, described in Genesis 6, who were the offspring and descendants when the sons of God found the daughters of man beautiful and took them as wives. Nephilim were a race of giants and mighty men from the antediluvian era, that God sought to purge from the earth in the times prior to the great flood. According to many biblical scholars, and my own faith, Noah, his wife, his three sons and their three wives were of pure blood, descended from Seth, the son of Adam and Eve. Apparently, all other humans in the world had been corrupted by the interbreeding with the Nephilim. So, just who were the sons of God who fathered this race of people? When Satan was cast to earth, with him came other angels, watchers, who were fallen with Lucifer. In the book of Isaiah, we can learn that the angels were created by God long before He created mankind, and that some with Lucifer worked against Gods will and were cast out with Lucifer, who became Satan. Thus when they took for wives the daughters of men, the children were a variety of people, some a race of giants. These could be the same giants that inspired Greek mythology and their demigods. Importantly, the spirits of these Nephilim were evil since they were the spawn of Satans fellow fallen angels. The purity and perfection of Noah and his family was not that they were without sin, but righteous and pure in their bloodline, and they did fear and follow the commands of God. But the purge of humanity was to rid the earth of this corrupt race of people that apparently had taken over. In the Book of Numbers, chapter 13, verses 31-33, we read that when Joshua sent out his spies, Caleb returned telling of encountering giants, Nephilim, in the land of Caanan. Thus we learn that despite the great flood, killing all but Noah, the fallen angels with Satan came back and again took human wives and produced a new race of Nephilim, which Caleb described as the descendants of Anak, son of Arba, a race of Nephilim. Caleb told Joshua that to ourselves we seemed like grasshoppers, and we must have seemed the same to them. What is interesting is that the spirits of the Nephilim did not die, but lived and remained on earth, tormenting mankind. These are the evil spirits or demons that have been here through the ages. Demons that possess people, and the demons that Jesus cast out of the man, that went into the swine that then fled off the cliff and fell into the sea and drowned. Someone asked me once why God created the evil spirits and demons. Well, now we know that God did not create them per se but the fallen angels with Satan produced demons, which are the spirits of their offspring. In Isaiah, we also learn that God put the fallen angels in chains in hell to await final judgment. I think that came after their second attempt to corrupt the line of mankind with Nephilim to prevent the coming of Jesus. Jesus had to be born of a virgin woman, and she could not have an impure line. At any rate, the story of Noah and the fallen angels and their Nephilim offspring is quite interesting and revealing. Here, in this YouTube video, about a half-hour in length, the Singapore evangelist Joseph Prince, gives us a very interesting and inspiring explanation of Noah, the great flood, and the fallen angels and their offspring. If you watch the video, I urge you to watch it to completion. At the end of the video, Mr. Prince offers a compelling message. One part of the video I find quite fascinating, and that is when Mr. Prince explains the Chinese character for Boat. It derives from Noahs ark, and the story of the great flood is part of Chinese lore. Thus the Chinese character for Boat incorporates the symbol for Vessel, the symbol for Eight, and the symbol for People. On Noahs ark there were eight people. Whether you are a believer in God and Jesus Christ, or not a believer at all, this 36 minute sermon by Joseph Prince is worthwhile and quite interesting. He is a very well educated and studied man. His revelations using the Hebrew and Greek words, as well as his explanation of the Chinese are quite good. I am very impressed with him as a man who preaches the Gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ. https://youtube/watch?v=gyQXlHjoJWo
