I am incensed!!! I camped last night at Virgin Rock just north of Springsure. Just been chatting to the friendly council bloke who empties the bins & cannot believe that people can be so stupid!! He told of caravaners (the grey haired variety) cutting not one but two fences in the stock paddock next to the free camp here - entry & exit because the camp area was full, & then leaving next morning without fixing the fence. Stock got onto the road as a result. Trees have been cut down for firewood, even the stock yards up the road were not immune. Someone parked up behind them for a few weeks and cut the rails of the yards for firewood from the back towards the front so it couldnt be seen from the road!! Probably the people responsible for this insane behaviour dont belong to sites such as this so Im maybe wasting my time. PLEASE look after our free camps and act responsibly so our children & grandchildren have the same freedom we enjoy. End of rant!
