I am incredibly proud to finally make available Quiet Friends: A 30th Anniversary Tribute to Steve Roachs Structures From Silence. Thirty years ago Steve Roach released this seminal collection of minimal ambient music. It forever changed the course of my life. In honor of that music I asked artists to contribute pieces that explore the atmospheres that Steve created for the original release. These 15 tracks are a gift to Steve and lovers of ambient music. We acknowledge Steves artistry and are proud to be members of the community of musicians who continue to explore this subtle and harmonious music. The first person to hear all of these tracks besides me is Steve himself and I am incredibly grateful for his kind participation in this project.
