I am jewish. anti-semitism is one of the most ignorant and malice acts. you would think, we live in a progressive society where we can be accepting of all religions, races, etc. but it still exists. I grew up in a town that was a melting pot of different cultures and never, for once, felt out of place. i faced anti-semtisim for the first time at 18 while at college when a swastika was spray painted on the college dorm building across from mine- i later was confronted by a room mate about my religion and i tore her a new one [literally] and she ended up leaving the university after word got out and the school expelled her [i got in absolute no trouble]. today, I read online, on Facebook, some anti-Semitic comments. it just disgusts me that people still think and feel this way and feel justified in hating a group of people based on their religion.
