I am keen to see people get behind the volunteers who preserve our rail heritage and so often when I mention it folks ask about Lost Perth rail trips. Its not about Lost Perth for me thank you but a way to help the volunteers by engaging the public , giving something money cannot buy to raise funds to preserve the old trains and infrastructure. They do rail trips over east on the mainlines and many people would like to see it happen here in Western Australia again. Imagine boarding a steam train and heading out for 3 or 4 nights stopping over in country towns to enjoy what they have to offer and inject a little money into their economies too moving onto a new town each day? The trains are there, the tracks are there, the people are keen so whats stopping Western Australia adding a great tourist drawcard and helping preserve our old trains and country towns?
