I am (lightning will surely strike me down) not much of a Pink Floyd fan, but that attitude is partly an artifact of where my musical tastes were at the time when the definitive, post-Syd Barret Pink FLoyd sound arrived with Dark Side...Moon. But that slow if heavy-as-concrete Floyd aesthetic fits perfectly with this man, whose art I very much enjoy and admire. It is like The Band was for Bob Dylan back in the day. While the backing band is not Floyd, it nonetheless bears their imprint via Gilmours presence, and the synthesis strikes me as being more Floyd than Floyd and more Maryn than Martyn. A grouping destined for heaven. (Rod Serling voice: Imagine if you will, a shipment of uncannily perfect, even magical products, with product labels that read: MADE IN HEAVEN.)
