I am living on Rue Saint Nicolas in Rouen, France. And it isnt the first time Ive lived on a street with that name. I used to live on Saint Nicholas in Harlem during my school days. Great vibes!! Wonderful first day... Vincent Dumestre is wonderful (great attention to the colors of my short recit and helped me discover the rhythmic interest in it more strongly and precise, Purcell recit really is so different from many other forms of recit, and I love it.) Also working with the wonderful directing duo Cécile Roussat et Julien Lubek, who studied under Marcel Marceau, the art of mime, and baroque dance as well, but they are considered the inheritors in France of Marceaus art. I have never seen two directors direct a show before, but they really are like one. One feeds the other, there is never an issue of who to listen to. Its kind of amazing, Im quite impressed by it. It was great fun to work with them, or should I say play, because it really felt like l was back in the sandbox. Their art is really beautiful. Great training for me!! Very lucky!! It was marvelous!!
