I am looking for a lab or golden breed dog. Must be house broken and good house manners in general....yes, this one needs to be ready. Must be good with children, cats, and other dogs. Must be unaffected by crowds and strangers coming and going. Must be a companion but not a guard dog. No puppies, but seniors are fine. The rescue who has this dog must be willing to let an assisted living adopt the dog as a resident pet, and a trial foster period is necessary to be sure he/she is a good fit. This is why they contacted me, but my best temperament candidate (Myrtle) was too small. They really want the breeds (or mixes) listed above...tall enough for residents to pet without falling over, not short enough to walk under the walkers, and not tall enough to get in the residents faces. :) No exceptions to any of the criteria above, please. Please share and tag any other rescue groups with a possible match.
