I am looking for help finding my great grandparents grave or date of death. The following is what I know about them: Their names are Morris and Ida Horowitz. They were born in 1895 (Ida may have been born a few years prior). Morris was born in Russia, Ida in England. Both arrived as young children. Idas maiden name is Mintzer. Her parents are buried in Washington Cemetery in Brooklyn. They had two children, Ruth and Bernard, born in 1915 and 1919 respectively. He was a furniture carpenter. The last place I found their trail is the 1940 census, they were living in Queens. I spent four hours looking at death certificates on file in the NYC archives and searched every Morris and Ida Horowitz that died between 1940 and 1948 in every borough, none were mine. I have looked at every Morris and Ida that I can on Find A Grave, have searched everywhere I can think of (ancestry, newspapers) for their obituaries. Have tried to contact any local synagogues (nobody has them on record as members if they still have records at all). Does anyone else know where else I can look for them?
