I am looking into marketing hot sauce, jams and other like - TopicsExpress

I am looking into marketing hot sauce, jams and other like products. A lot of the regulations are a pain in the rear. Thing is, history has shown that improper prep and packaging kills people. I can see peoples point that regulations are not needed if the business is held liable. However, if a person creates an incorporation which holds no assets, it is not actually possible for the business to be held liable because they have nothing to compensate those it harms. Essentially, there is no risk to the owners of the business if the business has no assets. So I am curious, if not for either regulations (with inspections / fines) or true accountability (taking assets via tort), how would one cause business to be responsible for addressing the damage it causes? thermalprocesstech.net/news/news3/michigan-history:-59-fall-ill-in-botulism-outbreak
