I am making a call out to all my family and friends to partake in this event!!! Every time I put on my uniform, strap on my duty belt and walk out the door I am reminded that I may not make it home. I know I have chosen a career that is very dangerous, and that may get me killed. Dont get me wrong- I LOVE WHAT I DO, and I would not trade it for anything. I am VERY fortunate that I work with the best people in the world. That being my other family - the SOUTH DAKOTA HIGHWAY PATROL, SHERIFFS OFFICES , AND POLICE DEPARTMENTS. I am also VERY fortunate that we have the best DISPATCH around!! They are always checking up on us, and they are my backup as well as the other deputies, Highway Patrol, and officers. WIth this being said we are in a very bad time right now where people want to kill officers. PLEASE JOIN ME AND REPLACE YOUR OUTDOOR LIGHT WITH A BLUE LIGHT AND LETS SHOW THE WORLD THAT BLUE LIVES MATTER!!! THANK YOU!! AND TO MY OTHER FAMILY - STAY SAFE OUT THERE!!!
