I am more angry right now than I have ever been over a guest. I actually went out on the sidewalk and yelled at them to NEVER come back! I think my exact words were The fat lady says dont ever come back! Here is what happened and let me know what you think... if I over reacted. There were four RUDE mean older ladies who came in to eat. One of them ordered fried catfish, which seriously every body says our is the best they have ever eaten. We make our own tartar sauce, which granted, is NOT the stuff you get in the grocery store, its much better. Ive seen people eat it with a fork because it tastes so good. Anyway, the tartar sauce was on her plate next to her catfish and she stopped me and asked me if I could get her some tartar sauce. I said You already have some and pointed to her plate. She said No, I dont. I told her that was tartar sauce on her plate and pointed to it. She said No, its not! I told her it was indeed tartar sauce, that we make it from scratch right here on the premises. She said No, I want that kind you buy at the store, not this crap that has cabbage in it! And I explained to her that that WAS real tartar sauce and that we dont have any that you buy at the grocery store to which she replied well, you need to cuz this aint tartar sauce. I explained that Dwight went to culinary school in Miami and that was definitely tartar sauce... REAL tartar sauce and that I thought he know how to make it since he had gone to culinary school. She then said Well, he needs to go back because he obviously didnt learn very good the first time!. I really wanted to punch her in the face right then and there but I took a VERY deep breath and walked away. THEN.... they asked for hush puppies which we dont have so I brought them corn bread to which they sniffed at like it was poison. Mind you they ALL ate EVERYTHING off their plates!! And while I was talking to the table next to them one of them said something about Red Lobster having better tartar sauce and I leaned over and said Actually he worked for Red Lobster for over 18 years before we opened this. And she had the audacity to say Well, he needs to go back and work there again. I said Do you mean to teach them to cook correctly? And she said No, he needs to go back so he can learn to cook good food. I really wanted to just tell them right then to leave but I said Excuse me? You dont think his food is any good? And as she is shoveling it in her mouth she said No, he needs to learn how to cook from them Which is a JOKE because almost every thing they have is precooked! I just looked at her for a second with my mouth open and said You know what, you just insulted my husband, so I am gonna just walk away before I say something I regret. And she said Yeah... you just walk away... you BETTER just walk away. For the second time I wanted to punch her in the face but I walked away. I thought Id be the better person and not let her negativity ruin my day. I proceeded to walk away and talk to other tables and I ignored them completely until they left. As they got in their car, their server informed me that she had asked her YOU get the tip, right? NOT THAT FAT LADY? Maria assured her that yes, she got the tip so she replied Well, just so you know, that fat lady is affecting your tip! I told her she should have told her that FAT lady signs her check and owns the place so shes not welcome back. I realized they hadnt pulled out of the parking lot so I ran out to the sidewalk and as she was driving by I pointed at her and yelled to her that the fat lady didnt want her coming back. I am SO pissed!! And then Dwight said when they were leaving they told him I dont know why every one raves about yall all the time This is AFTER they ate every scrap of food on their plate. And they only left poor Maria $3 between the 4 of them . . because I was affecting their tip. I really dont care about them calling me fat but I am REALLY pissed that they insulted Dwights cooking. I REALLY hope they dont EVER come back. I dont need people like that around me.... EVER! I need to breathe........
