I am not a salaried employee - I am an hourly union worker who gets paid overtime premiums - but I believe I would support this move (but not the unilateral method). This would seem to be aimed more squarely at larger businesses that use this loophole to work many employees extended (often mandatory) hours without fairly compensating them for the increased imposition on their personal lives. Unlike a blanket minimum wage hike, this does not appear to be a small-business killer.
