I am not a smart man. This isnt humility, it is fact. With every day that passes I dont learn the ways that I am limitless, but rather how I am limited. My obsession with defining myself and then expressing it is just a way of trying to find where I am strong and let that part resonate. Many of you will find many actions effortless that I find very challenging if not near impossible, like remembering your friends names, or handing in a paper on time, or having a conversation (eye contact and all) with a complete stranger. This list of course goes on but the point is in this scattered, busy, clumsy head of mine I find road blocks in many areas, but not in my ability to recognize true brilliance. My love for and affinity for criticism is certainly not below average, and Ill admit to having a strength in knowing many facts and details about a person through simple observation that they feel can be uncannily accurate. Strayed from the point again, this is the point. This man is brilliant, and I am qualified to say that. While I can compile data about a person and say that I know them in this way, he clearly UNDERSTANDS humanity. His philosophy is darkly romantic, yet free of the obtuse fripperies that those thoughts tend to bring. I agree with everything he said in a way I rarely do, for motivational speeches filled with Buzzfeed optimism tends to annoy me nearly as much as the obnoxious Cracked cynicism. So watch it, please, he is good.
