I am not engaging in a debate about who others should vote for. I am simply posting a link to audio direct from the interview that Ed Hennessey - Assemblyman 3rd District gave the other day regarding his stance on Common Core. In his own words. This man has more flip flops more than Jones Beach. Knowledge about the candidates is power. Educate yourselves. For me though, I am voting Dean Murray in Assembly District 3- NY. ************************************ Ok, lets pretend that he is legally our Assemblyman - Which Hes NOT, because he doesnt live in our district. Lets also pretend that hes not spewing the talking points that hes told to by Sheldon Silver (Speaker of the NY Assembly) in order to pacify parents - BUT HE IS ----he actually said RIGOR, not once but twice. Lets even give him the benefit of the doubt with acknowledging that Overtesting is an issue-EVEN THOUGH HE VOTED AGAINST BILL A8844 THAT WOULD STOP IT. Ok, now lets pretend that he didnt remove the parents voice against Common Core by removing the STOP COMMON CORE BALLOT LINE for this assembly district --- but he did. The idea of changing your message to suit your audience is not new, but changing it IN ONE INTERVIEW ANSWER tells me ALL that I need to know about Ed Hennessey. He DOESNT get it- or even pretend to. He WANTS Common Core to stay and says that there is too much funding to stop it... Arent you a lawmaker? What do you do while in office Ed Hennessey?? Nothing, absolutely nothing. You want a change? You want an Assemblyman that will FIGHT for your kids? Look to Dean Murray. I dont endorse candidates lightly. Ive spoken with this man, candidly-at length about this. Lets recap for a moment. Ed voted against the moratorium bill. Then he helped to keep it from ever seeing the light of day again. Then he asked to sign on to it. Now hes calling it a mistake.
