I am not going to express and opinion about the specific events in Ferguson or NYC over the past 2 weeks, but what speaks volumes is that as the Mother of a Mixed Race young Teen boy (who feels the need to Soapbox or defend his self whenever is rights are being Violated (?!!) ) I had to sit him down and go over how he needs to act if he is ever stopped by a police officer. Make sure he realized that it is serious and he MUST comply completely whether he thinks he is wrong or not. Furthermore, between the News, Social Media and People right in my own News Feed that think that its funny to post Jokes, Pictures or make racist remarks, You are setting us back decades. Ignorance, Laziness, Violence comes in all Shades of skin but so does Hope, Love, Charity and Intelligence....#heavyheart
