I am not one for putting my private business on here but today is a special occasion. My nana died last night at 11.30 at home. My delightful sister (grrr it pains me to write that word) texted my niece in Scotland at 1.30 am to let her know and Elaine ten minutes later. She had waited until she had been taken from the house before she notified anybody. Elaine had to wait until Jane texted her this morning to find out where my nana had been taken. Elaine said to Jane she would be round to nanas house at 9am to sort out funeral arrangements. When Elaine spoke to funeral director he was unaware of any other siblings. When they got there Jane never answered the door and then texted them and said to ring this solicitors number. When she rang them for copy of will they said she didnt need one as she was not a beneficiary of the will but nana had left her a small gift ! Can anybody guess the next bit ! My nana had recently been in respite in Eaton Court were for the first time in ages we had all been able to visit at our free will as visiting at the house had become a bit difficult since Jane moved in. After the respite my nana was assessed by three people to see if she had full capacity, which she did. To each of those people she said that she wanted to stay for a bit longer in the home. When Jane was told this by Elaine that day she initially took it quite well saying if that was what mam wanted she was happy for her to stay. Nana was very frail at the time. By the time everybody had gone home that day and Jane visited my nana rang Elaine (from Janes mobile) in hysterics saying she wasnt selling her home or staying there. No one had said anything to her about selling her home of 60 plus years. Jane tried to get nana to discharge herself a few days later, organising a private ambulance and not telling family or staff. She was persuaded on that occassion to stay there for a few more days till Carers and a special bed was in place. The home said if she removed her it would go to safeguarding as there was a concern about bed sores . Two days later Jane removed nana from the home again by private ambulance. The Carers never came as Jane said nana didnt want them even though she had agreed to them in the home. Jane has since discredited Eaton Court by saying it was filthy and they where starving nana. With the exception of Jane the rest of the family (and nana) were more than pleased with the care that she received. We were all visiting nana at her home till last Saturday when Jacky went at tea time. Jane wouldnt answer the door and shouted down the hall way she couldnt come in and nana didnt want to see anyone. Now when I say anyone of course I dont mean Janes friends.... She said that nana had rang Social services herself on Saturday to say she didnt want any of us going again, very skilful for a woman too weak to even sit up... Funny when we rang Social services yesterday with concern about Jane isolating nana the social worker said that she had been to nanas on the Friday and nana was asleep the whole time but in fact Jane had said nana doesnt want to see any of us. Jane gives the impression of a caring devoted daughter and will say how she gave up her pets and flat to care for her elderly mother.BUT the truth is that the RSPCA took her animal away after numerous reporting by family and neighbours over a period of months. She was leaving the animals for days at at time in what the RSPCA inspector said was the worse case of squalor he had ever seen. Two dogs re homed one cat put down. Did they prosecute ....did they buggery ..they said Jane was very remorseful... I bet she was. The flat was left because the environmental health had to dig (and I mean DIG) it out for four days. Four men solid for four days...not bad for small two bed flat eh. mind three years of dog shit in the house does take some shifting. The house was also dug out four years ago and the garden has been cleared twice. I feel sorry for the poor neighbours who could even sit in their garden because of smell of dog shite and flies. Also if anybody has any idea about what she has been saying that would make my nana reject her entire family after happily seeing them please message me in confidence. I am interested to know the other side of the story. I was at my nanas every weekend and holiday as a child until I went to live there full time at twelve even staying there when I first had Juice. I always said I had the best nana in the world ( even if she was an argumentative old bugger at times) she gave me so much love and stability in my life. I cant believe it has ended like this. Instead of grieving we are all consumed by hate and rage. My grandad Bill would be devasted We never even got to say good bye x Well thats my rant over for today
