I am not so sure what is going on with this web page. This is not a link to a cartoon but rather is a link to an article about a Fox News lie which the link will take you to if you click on it. Fox is trying to call the upper risk corridor limit of Obamacare a government bailout. I first heard about this on MSNBC some time back and they explained it fully. This is an excellent example of the difference between Fox and MSNBC that so many people think are the same thing with Fox representing Republicans and MSNBC representing Democrats. What each channel represents is the only part of that statement that is true. They are not the same. Fox has had all the information concerning the risk corridors but still chooses to misrepresent what they were designed for, how they work, and who pays for them. Because I watch MSNBC I already knew the answers to all three parts of this for quite a while. This article does not explain the lower risk corridor but it is there to make sure there is a limit on the profits an insurance company can make. The upper limit is to make sure they do not take too big of a loss. The corridor allows insurance companies to make a respectable profit without taking a loss. If they make too much money then the money goes into a pool to be drawn from should they take a future loss. The government does not pay anything for this so it is not a government bailout. Now that you now this, if you are a Fox News watcher dont you feel like perhaps you have been lied to and taken for a chump and perhaps maybe you should turn the channel.
