I am not stark advocate of Rev. Al Sharpton. But, I dont post anything bad about him on my page or talk about the reasons I have issues with him in public. But, I do post it here in spaces where the Black consciousness is present. Why? Because like Ferguson, Al Sharpton represents those in our national Black communities, who are Black plight opportunists. Every Black community has a Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson, but he or she is not the enemy. We must find ways to not condemn them but utilize their passion to create a progression forward because as long as we argue and point fingers at our selves we are doing the job of the oppressor for him. Instead of us airing our differences in public, we have to realize we’re all the same family. And when you have a family squabble, you don’t get out on the sidewalk. If you do, everybody calls you uncouth, unrefined, uncivilized, savage. If you don’t make it at home, you settle it at home; you get in the closet — argue it out behind closed doors. And then when you come out on the street, you pose a common front, a united front. And this is what we need to do in the community, and in the city, and in the state. We need to stop airing our differences in front of the white man. Put the white man out of our meetings, number one, and then sit down and talk shop with each other. [That’s] all you gotta do. - Malcolm X Family of black man shot dead by NYPD speak out against Sharpton dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2863165/Family-mourns-unarmed-man-shot-dead-NYPD-stairwell.html
