I am not the least convinced about the Govt. policy of taxing the petroleum products when the consumer was looking forward with lots of anticipation of reduction in prices. After all this very consumer had paid through its nose the high prices of Petrol / Diesel. Why did not than the Govt. reduced the taxes on these products ? Why the Govt. always looks to taxing this segment to cover up its deficit?. A question fit for debate.
